What software are you using with it for the TV tuner? I don't think Nero was one of the listed programs for it. What else are you using.

On the website I saw where Sage and another program were suggested for TV viewing.

Usually you have a program meant for assembling and editing captured files in preparation for the burn. InterVideo's DVD Creator 3 is a good solution. For going ahead and burning, I don't see the problem with burning with Nero. Once in DVD format you should be able to handle the files as you normally do, except there is no encryption.

I forgot to mention. When using Nero with a capture device I use Nero Vision 4 in Capture Video to Hard Drive. I forgot to mention it and maybe the tech wasn't familiar with the software. There's all kinds of capture programs.

    update
one hour with tech support.still grainy pic. recommend i update graphic card.checked both tuners. are working now, both have equal distortion and darkness.
they suggested to burn movie and compare picture to live tv!
now was trying to use windows mce to burn dvd found a good easy guide
but it locks up or stops around 25%
just used nero vision but that giving me trouble too.
nero problems might be user error. have to retry later
so far unhappy with card due to picture quality i do like mce with remote that great
edit trying to burn again this time with mce sonic solution. have to see

What are you getting your TV signal from? Keep working with it. I'm hoping it works out. I was thinking of getting one. If not, I may be better off sticking with the simple capture unit.

Well at least it's just a matter of waiting to see the captured video. Glad you're getting a good video now. I don't know if it would make a difference, but have you tried the trial viewing software? I think it was Sage and I forget the other.

what would other viewing software do.i do have nero and used the. capture feature. that was still grainy on live feed but i did not get it to burn yet.
i was wondering if the graphic card would effect the live feed display?

You're getting into new territory for me. As I mentioned before, that tuner card has a lot more bells and whistles than I normally use. Sage or another program might help the quality, I'm not sure. I just noticed it's one of the programs the manufacturer suggests. I'm not sure if that was in addition to MCE or not. I'm really not sure how much of the capture TV quality depends on the capture card and how much on the graphics card for the Video output. Personally I think it's more the capture card because the GPU wouldn't choose just that signal to display poorly. Like I said, I'm just guessing on this one.

I'm on the wrong side of the pond or I'd try to answer some questions. You even use a different format in your country, PAL. Just wanted you to know we weren't ignoring you. Born2ride didn't get much action in this thread. You may want to start a help thread of your own. Maybe it will have better luck. Hope everything works out for you. Good luck.
