Upgrade RAM, no monitor

    I Have a gateway PC. AMD Athlon (just like the PIII) processor. 250 Watt power. GeForce 2...
    My RAM is 256, i recently added a stick of 128, and i turn on my PC, and my monitor doesnt come on, the light just stays orange. can anyone help? is it my power supply or mother board? please help

    I hate to ask this but is it plugged into hte PC. It is first rule of troubleshooting.

    take out new ram & reseat old ram & video card than power up system. if posts than reseat new ram with old ram to see if posts. post results
