    I'm looking to buy a laptop $700 or under.
    Any suggestions.

    $700? I hope your not expecting to do much with it. That is well under the price i have seen for most good systems.

    Thanks for the help, realised $700 was crappy, so I went to like $2000. I went on an impulse buy and bought this, +Mail in rebate from Asus.

    The fu**ed up the order so I cancelled, probably going to replace the order, but is $1,799.00 good for that product?

    i bought a sony vaio laptop from bestbuy three days ago for $1150.
    specs:

    160GB harddrive
    2 gig RAM
    Core 2 Duo T5500 Processor
    8x DVD DL +/- R/RW optical drive
    built in webcam, microphone.
    Vista home premium.

    You PPl need to look for the Deals!!!My aunt works at sams club,when ever the computers dont sell and not stocking that model no more,they mark them down (Half Price).Last week i got a

    Compaq Presario V6113
    17" widescreen
    160GB HHD
    1GB ram
    1.7 GHZ
    DVDBurner lightscribe
    XP home edition installed-Which is great no vista
    Free Vista OS for free upgrade.Worth $100 its self.

    All for $539.00.
    Now thats a great deal.

    I canceled the order,
    Paid $799 at Circuit city for a machine 2 times as good.
    2 times as good, half the price.
