I've been backing up my DVD movies with my HP Laptop, but I was wondering if it was normal to keep using the burner it came with. I'm talking about burning lots of DVD's and I was getting worried that if I overuse it, it will break. I'm thinking if it would be better for me to buy an external burner and burn through that in order to save the drive in my laptop. Or will the burner in my laptop be ok to use

I have an HP lappy and although I've not tried a USB burner with it, I would suggest going with one. I've stopped burning with my laptop for the most part and rely on my desktop as it gives much better results.
