What's up with all the generic threads?

Why does it seem that most newbies come on here and author up GENERIC threads?

I continuously see threads like "Please Help!!!", "Can someone please answer this question?", or "Newbie in need of assistance! Click me! Click me!"

I don't know about others who have been on here for a while, but I tend overlook the generic threads. If I'm interested in something, I will tend to click on that thread. I am more apt to click on threads like, "Wow. What a great price on Verbatims at Best Buy this week", "Does anyone know of a free menu building program", or "Can someone please tell me how and where to download VOB blanker".

It's time consuming to wade through all the generic posts trying to find something of interest.

The generic threads DO NOT scream "CLICK ME!", no matter how much BOLD CAPS are put in them! They tell me to DISREGARD ANY FURTHER!

    CAN I GET AN AMEN?

Here are a few I just noticed from the Newbie Forums:

"very new"........hmmmmm....are you very new, or is there a new technology we haven't yet run across? Maybe there's a new secret movie coming out on DVD that we haven't heard about???? Please tell me more!

"What am i missing?".........Apparently brains and literacy! I know what I'm missing....I'm missing the point of clicking on your thread!

"VERY NEW AND NEED HELP PLEASE!!!".......Need help with what? Is it really worth my time to click on your thread? Maybe you've been kidnapped and you decided to type a message in this forum instead of dialing 911. At least you were polite! "PLEASE!!!" Is your CAPS LOCK button on your keyboard stuck???

"Help Will not copy."........Do you mean you're not willing to copy? Is there a movie named "HELP" that you can't copy? Is there a program called "HELP" that will not copy? Gimme a little more to go on!

Sorry if I offended any of you who posted these threads, but do a little research before starting a new thread! And read the forum rules concerning ALL CAPS IN YOUR THREADS!!!!!!!! Contrary to your popular belief, this does not make people want to CLICK ON YOUR THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ??????What do you say, dogpound??????

Not that it matters, but I figured the Newbie section would be the perfect place to post this thread. That's where they (we) all go when we first come here. Now, they won't see the venting.......

    Problem remains unsolved!!
