I created a Divx5 file with virtual dub and WinDVD Platinum doesn't read my DivX 5 video i just made
hmm, this looks familiar, lol!
Actually I'm finding the exact same problem. I'm using the trial version of WinDVD platinum atm.
My DivX 5.05 backups play fine in any other player, even the old windvd4! So whats wrong with WinDVD Platinum?
I can play in Platnum, but the prob im havbin lately is WinDVD crashin on me, gonna have to sort that sh** out!
It plays like the first frame in the video, then stops video, but the audio continues...
Has to be something with WinDVD, cos it plays fine in all other players :| Guess I won't be buying it yet
Anyone know why WinDVD won't play our backup divX's??? or is this thread too dead to be answered?
it should play it as long as all the codecs are registered i dont have a problem with playing files in it at all!
I also made DVD copies that will not play on Win DVD 5. They all play on my stand alone player? Any ideas?
as in DVD-R?
Yes, DVD+R. They will also play on my son's XBox....
hmm that is strange, and in WinDVD, what have u tried,m when u open it does it just stick or what?
I reckon it could be some type of copy protection thing built into the player?
I'll stick with the older players if they are going to start doing this sort of thing
Thats interesting but i have played many dvd-rs in WinDVD, as for the hardware, ye that is a possibility! Maybe the region has to be changed to multiregion or something?
Thanks for responding...I've been unable to get back to this problem. The player freezes; the hourglass displays and the player does not respond. I have to close the player, and put in the original to play, then it works OK. I thought of the region code, but Xpress copy does'nt have a setting for that, does it?
