windvd to windows media player problem

    windvd captures in gif format but has no sound in windows media. I am capturing from a vide_ts file that I haven't burned to dvd yet. How do I get sound for the file when I play it with windows media player. I need to insert the captured video file (GIF file) into a powerpoint presentation.

    Gif's don't have sound. For powerpoint I would suggest converting to MPEG1.
