i upgraded my PC to winXP and although the computer recognises the driver, it doesn't recongise any disc i insert. the drive has the latest firmware drivers and the drive works fine when i use WinME. i even used the drive to install XP yet nothing. any help would be greatly appreciated
If you have all the updates firmware for the drive as you say it should work fine.You could try to unistall the drive and do a fresh install this will probably put the problem straight for you.You can go in to your drive through systems in the control panel and then device manager to check your setting are correct.
