Hello, need some help here. I want to replace my hard drive on my xbox, it’s been softmodded already, and I just want to have a bigger hard drive so I can load more games. Maybe I am simplifying this, but can I just pull the hard drive I have now, image my original drive to the new drive (using something like ghost), and pop in the new drive into the xbox. Will that work? If so, is it as simple as opening up the xbox and removing the drive (like pulling a drive from a computer), or is it more complicated? Are there guides out there to show how to replace a drive? Thanks for your help.

    hi there

ive just softmodded (yesterday) and i want to do the same.
i have installed Chimps2.6 app using AID4.10 on my box and
this will clone your old Drive onto the new plenty of tuts
around for that. OOOOOOOOOOr if you have Xboxhdm1.9 and your
M$ dash backed up and your eeprom.bin off your box use these
with Xboxhdm to create a live linux iso to format and install
on the new HDD, again plenty of tuts around. only thing to check
is compatability of your hard drive, i think western digital
and seagate have the best rep.

    regards
