xbox hd fried, can I still put in a larger hd if I have backed up files?

    Hey everyone, I backed up my xbox files using evox...so i have the eeprom.bin file and the c and e files saved on my computer. Can I still install a larger hd. What is the best program to go about doing this. I have tried with xboxhdm but the setup is a little tricky, I haven't found a good tutorial that explains how to make one from scratch. Please help. Thanks

    get slayers autoinstall
    take out old harddrive
    put in new one put in slayers and install
    done

    Hey, will it work even though I am not using a chip to mod my box, I a softmodded it. And I have a 5960 dashboard in which I used the Ude2 exploit. Will it still work?
