How to convert Xvid with Qpel to an Xvid without Qpel and GMC or DivX so it works on the Phillips DVP-642 (I also want to convert the DTS sound to mp3)

However when trying to use AGK to convert the audio/video it opens VdubMod and i get this error:

AVIOutputWAV: The System Cannot Find the Path Specified

or will the DTS audio work on my PhilipsDVP642?

for DTS audio, i would say besweet, don't worry there's a gui.

as for qpel and gmc, thats need a reencode.

A suggestion: you could make a sound 'pure demuxing' with VirtualDubMod (Stream___Stream list___Demux), and only later trying to convert it to MP3 (you might want to keep the MP3 compression rate CBR, or it will be a mess converting that AVI to mpeg) with some good audio application like the one that were already suggested you (BeSweet+BeSweet GUI).
It's a little difficult to check the CBR setting for the MP3. Take care.
Don't try the decompression with with VirtualDubMod. Probably that error wat given because it cannot decompress DTS.
    Does this way work?

    "C:\Program Files\AziDTS\azidts.exe" -core( -input "c:\family.dts" -output "c:\family.mp3" -logfilea "C:\Program Files\BeSweet\BeSweet.log" ) -ota( -hybridgain ) -lame( -p --alt-preset 128 )

Mpeg4 Modifier Is supposed to do the trick, though I haven't tried it yet as I don't have a divx/xvid standalone. Check below for some reports

    http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=MPEG4_Modifier

You'll also have to make sure the audio is correctly aligned and as a side note the program can also unpack the bitstream(see if your player supports packed bitstream first, in which case you won't need to do that).

Let us know how you get on with this.

Been saying this a bit lately but MPEG4Modifier can't get rid of qpel/GMC.

Well if AziDTS/BeSweet won't work then I guess try foobar2k. You did try downloading VOBinput.dll like the error suggest though right? Never tried Azidts personally though as it requires that you have the intervideo audio decoder installed, which I don't right now.
