I also wondered if there would be a conflict with the two Coufin engines loaded. Ireland have you tried it much with both installed?

    PeaInAPod,
X-copy was one of the first progs i've ever used. and i really liked it. if it had more featurs(plat did'nt exactly pull it off)id love a new ver. thats all! Ireland seems 2 have an answer for that in a very similar format(i hope). But i'm not bias 2 any group of progs.

    gus,
see thats where we differ. I could
care less about the "comong attractions" and some of the other extras. i pref 2 keep the menues and some of the others...but prefer 2 burn 4 quality of the copy.

if u haven't, i really think u should concider using dual layer media. it would def solve ur dilema. :)

    gus,
wish i could help buddy, but DL is the only way to do it w/o sacrificing any quality.
some progs are def better than others when it comes 2 quality....but most of them are freesoftware, that r not as user friendly(and u do need 2 know how 2 use them properly 4 best results)...but make great backups, and yes.. they do take over an hour1/2 to backup. speed or quality...u have 2 make a choice.

    best of luck :)
    PeaInAPod...we good?

Speed and quality will never go hand to hand when backing up a DVD.

It’s been said allot of times a few times in this thread.

If you want speed the quality will SUFFER!

If you want quality backups then use an encoder like DVD-RB + CCE which will take a little longer but defiantly worth the time. Also as I said before. If you get DVD-RB Pro you can use the BATCH mode and do multiple DVD's when you’re not using your computer.

How many transcoders have that option? Not very many if not none.
