    Thanks for the report dblbogey7. A 1080P decoder chip to replace the Broadcomm BCM7411 1080i HD decoder - that would be something to look forward to.

    I got a chance to do this last night when HBO-HD showed Chronicles of Riddick. For me the HD-DVD version still surpasses HBO-HD's in terms of PQ and audio so my previous impressions are unchanged. It would be interesting if our video sources had some form of bitrate counter so we can make numerical comparisons.

    Has anyone gotten a chance to audition the RCA HDV5000 HD-DVD player?
