I'd go for an Intel Q6600 quad core.
I bought one this past weekend for $199.00

depends what games you play really. Crysis makes some use of quad cores it seems, but currently the only major ones are Assassin's Creed and Supreme Commander.

It would potentially be useful in the long run, but the immediate benefit won't be that big.

The CNPS8000 is only really necessary in small cases such as the Silverstone Sugo. For normal PCs you will get much better cooling performance from a taller heatsink like the Freezer 7 Pro.

Hey Sam, umm what do you think of this mobo?
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=015038&cid=MB.157
I went to buy the gigabyte and they were out, however he kept on insisting that this motherboard is a lot better. Knowing him as a salesmen i thought he was just trying to make the sale, however he continuously kept on telling me this is a lot better for 20$ more, so i feel for it, they do have a returning system, so what do you think of this mobo (at least ill get a honest answer from you)

It's a reasonable motherboard, but it doesn't really offer anything extra that the Gigabyte doesn't, other than a second PCIe slot - and gigabyte boards offer those too. You have to be very careful with Asus boards as some are excellent, but some are terrible. To be on the safe side I'd stick with the Gigabyte.

NCIX's prices are kind of high because you're looking at their normal prices. Try here for their sale prices.

NCIX has a special sale every week or so - there's only one day in between sales where you won't find one.

For all the parts you're buying, be sure to check if they're on sale; if you don't choose a sale item through the sale page, the sale price won't show up in the cart.

Oh and I have the P5K-E board, I built my PC about a month ago, and chose it over the Gigabyte board for a few reasons: It has built-in WiFi, external sata (eSATA) ports, 2 PCI-E x16 ports for crossfire, and a lot of overclocking features/options. You can find great reviews for this board anywhere, and I personally go for the ASUS brand. Another big reason why I got this board is because it runs OS X Leopard perfectly, which is a cool thing you might want to mess around with. The Gigabyte board was definitely a close second for me though.

Also, check out the 9800GTX for only $249.99! ($25 MIR)

its not a single slot card like your current config, but makes for better ventilation anyway. I went with the exact card that sammorris suggested earlier but the 9800's weren't out yet. the 8800's are previous generation, so i'd personally go with this.

For the case, if you want something super quiet above all else, definitely go with the Antec Sonata III:
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=016276&cid=CS.664
extremely quiet, comes with a 500w antec power supply. My favourite feature is the ability to mount all the drives on their own trays, which you can conveniently slide in and out of the bays (pretty awesome).

If you want a flashy case with a bunch of lights and crap, go for the Antec 900: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=011391&cid=CS.664
Excellent ventilation, great looks (you gotta see it in person) but no PSU.

You know what, save yourself the time and hassle of RMA if anything goes wrong, and get most if not all the parts locally. Nothing is more irritating then having to send back a motherboard/cpu in the middle of building a pc (and having to pay for return shipping!) it might come out a little cheaper from ncix, but its a lot easier to deal with potential problems locally. I'm lucky to live in Vancouver BC, where I have access to NCIX locally :)

    If I may:

    Case - Antec Sonata III [500w] ($109.99):
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=013961&cid=CS.664
    CPU - Core 2 Duo E6850 ($199.99):
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=014822&cid=CPU.84
    Mobo - Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L ($96.99):
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=015018&cid=MB.157
    HDD - Seagate Barracuda 500gb 32mb Cache ($83.99):
    DVD - Samsung 20x SATA DVD-DL ($29.49):
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=016645&cid=CR.184
    Cooler - AC Freezer 7 Pro ($26.99):
    http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=013470&cid=FN.349

Get the RAM and Video Card from NCIX:
    RAM - OCZ Platinum 2gb DDR2-800 ($31.99)
    http://www.ncix.com/products/index....R22GK&manufacture=OCZ Technology&promoid=1001
    GPU - Galaxy 9800GTX 512mb ($249.99)
    http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=29157&promoid=1001

Grand Total... $829.42!! (plus shipping, which shouldn't cost much)

I'd go for the core 2 quad, and use the Freezer 7 to easily OC it to 3.2 GHz:
http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=012505&cid=CPU.84 (add an extra $30 to the total..its really worth it IMHO)

To edit a post you've made, click the button on the top right of the post, rather than make a new one.
You do, however, make a very good point. Remote RMAs are an absolute pain in the ass.

Well to tell your the truth i already bought 1/2 of my stuff:
    Mobo: P5K-E
    CPU: E6850
    Fan: Vendetta 2
    Ram: Corsair TWINX 2gig
    Vcard: 8800 GT XFX 512mb

I still need the Case, the PSU, the hard drive and dvd drive
I think im going to stick to what sammorris said about all of the above, however the Antec 900 does seem better ventilated + i don't need a PSU with the case since im buying it separately..I just hope the Antec is in stock for Canadacomputers because they say "0" at their site right now but usually those things are wrong.
