Both are great but whats better,

    1080i (interlaced)
    1080p (progressive)

It always bothered me to figure out
what will last longer (bulbs burn out)
    what will be better.

1080p is supposed to be better. But, they're just now getting more tvs out, that display 1080p. Some earlier models would upconvert to 1080p, but wouldn't accept a 1080p signal. The new JVC HD-ILA's and the new Sony SXRD's, accept a 1080p signal. Since the HD DVD and Blu Ray dvd players have come out, the tv manufacturers are coming out with more 1080p sets, to get the full capabilities of the Movies on the HD DVD and Blu Ray discs.
