there's a lot of controversy about technology these days and especially when it comes to hd tv's. To let you know the only way to get 1080p, is thru fire wire (not 100% sure) and hdmi2...which i don't think is out yet. You can't get 1080p out of dvi and hdmi....don't question me about this...for tv's only

oh yeah, sony sxrd's CANNOT support 1080p...i can promise you ask a reputable sony rep

    HDMI.org on HDMI and 1080p,

    got_boost,
Do you mean DVI-HDMI connections? If so your wrong. It can be done but I don't know of any implamentations. The only requirment is that the DVI port must be Dual-Link DVI not Single-Link DVI and of course DVI-D.

    HDMI.org,

Are you saying that the SXRD can't support 1080p even via firewire?

    Back-up your facts,
    Ced
