I'm looking forward to the Brazil/Australia game too. I missed the first game the Aussies played so I can't wait to see them in action :)

i cant see brasil loseing. The reason the aussies scored against japan was because japan could not keep their composure and of course croatia is a much better side than japan and australia.

    Hey, everyone!
Don´t forget that Portugal was 2nd at European Cup (EURO 2004).
Portugal will go to the end or very close.
Good luck for you all, from a proud Portuguese.

The Euro Cup was a fluke, seeing as Greece won it, and they didnt even qualify for this WC. So i wouldn't base your predictions on the Euro cup. and if they finish 1st, they play (probably) against Netherlands, or maybe even Argentina. So seeing Portugal go past the group of 16, is difficult, but it could happen.

I think at Euro the manager made some wrong choices, and now he´s going better.
Anyway, I thing that in last game against Iran, Portugal should aim a little better, because they missed a lot of goals.

Well the French Scoreless drought is over, as Henry just scored in the 9th minute. It's about time that they score, it was a fairly nice goal by Henry.

i dont know why he plays crap for france but is like the best player in the premiership for arsenal.I would actually ask arsene wenger to be the france manager(at least he knows what makes henry tick) LOL

What makes Henry tick is the through balls, and the splendid runs. It may look like a one way show for Henry at Arsenal, but its the wide support he gets from ljungberg and hleb. My opinion he doesn't need zidane lurking behind him, but instead trezeguet...

once again a avergage display...making slow progress...

Ukraine just achieved a huge measure of redemption. Good on them.

I think Ukraine will make it to next round.

France is in ds. They will have to win next game at all costs, otherwise... the guillotine. lol
I really hope they can make it (For Zidane sakes).

Man, Great comeback from the spaniards, down 1-0 at half, coming back late to take it 3-1. WOW, for a moment i thought it might have been a win or at least a tie for tunisia. Spain showed a lot of determination, and got the win, unbelievable.

For next Thursday... Who's going to be???

Czechs or Italians??? Ghana or USA???

If Czech Rep wins and USA wins... Italy passes. If Ghana wins Italy wouldn't pass...

If Italy wins and USA wins... Italy and USA both go to the next round. If Ghana wins USA wouldn't pass...

Nobody can afford to lose. :D

    Interesting... hummmmm...

    Any thoughts???

As biased towards USA as I might be, I think it would be interesting to see if they happened to make the next round. Many pages ago I said they have talent, not experience. If they luckey it up, and made it to the next round, we'd really see if the team comes together. I know enough to see that they are not the worlds elite, but if we foul enough :p who knows what will happen.

Italy's the only team that can afford to tie, and still advance. In certain cases they CAN lose and advance, like tranquash said, If Italy lose Against CZECH's and only by 1 goal, and USA beats Ghana by 2, Italy would advance, by goal differential.Right now it's Italy and Ghana(surprisingly!) that have the best shot to advance(just cause Ghana needs a tie and an italy win)I still think it'll be Italy and USA though.
