... I still think Brazil can beat Germany...:D

It would be great to have Germany and Brazil in the final.

It's a pity that the way the classifications are set, the round before the semifinals would likely be Germany and Argentina, so, if Argentina beats the Germans, the other possible final would be Argentina-Brazil.

On the other side of the equation, we may have England-Brazil in the semifinals, so the final would be Germany or Argentina against England...:D

Enough speculation, and let's enjoy this WC, there have been really good games and the best is yet to come.

england can only draw with sweden what makes you think they can contend with brasil and argentina .England is not even in their league!

Well, I think the English can beat Ecuador, and face Netherlands before the semifinals, so if they manage to beat Neatherlands (assuming they beat Portugal) they surely would deserve to beat Brazil in the semis...

It's all in the clouds. Only smoke...*L*

I personally think the final will be Germany-Brazil, and Brazil winning the Cup...:p

Argentina-Brazil would also be a thrilling final :D

huh? Juninho's not even ALWAYS starting, he come's off the bench. And there's MANY better players than him (eg. Carlos, Adriano, Ze Roberto...) Juninho has only started 1 game this tourney. I'm just saying this cause I really don't like Brazil, so if I had my say, no one's good. But we know that's not true.

Yup. And now, not too thrilled about Argentina.
Mexico's best game of the cup.

Germany and Argentina is going to be a great game. Germany is hot this year, but Argentina is playing some great soccer.

Lovin' Portugal, hatin' Netherlands... Excellent game by Portugal

This is got to be the best game of the WC so far.

The Portugal I saw today can beat the English. I hope Ronaldo is recovered for that game. :D

    !!!

Is a pitty that Deco and Costinha will not play against England.
    But I´m full of hope.
Portugal didn´t get a loss or a draw, anyway!

Well I am highly disapointed with the ref in the Australia Vs Italy game he made a cruital bad call in the death of the game which was wrong. I wish they would bring the Video ref into football games.

Agree. It was a gift in a silver platter for Italy. :(

I agree, as well. There have been a lot of 'phantom' calls this year, and it's taking a lot away from the game.

I've seen some pathetic refereeing thats ruining some of these games. In something as important as the World Cup with so much riding on each and every one of these games I think FIFA has an obligation to hold extremely high standards in the selection process and I don't think they've fulfilled that obligation. They've been irresponsible with their choices for refs.

Case in point I'm watching Brazil vs. Ghana right now and Brazil's second goal never should have been counted because Adriano was clearly offside but the dumbass ref did nothing. He's too busy running around throwing yellow cards at anything that moves. Even that stray cat that ran down the sidelines got a yellow card.

Great game though. Ghana's playing some phenomenal football but they just can't seem to follow through with the opportunities they set up. They've spent plenty of time by Brazils goal but they keep kicking it straight to the goalie or waaaay over.

I'm in full agreement Neph it's terrible fifa need to look into it. Look at Sundays match the ref lost all control. AND AS I TYPE BRAZIL SCORES 3-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway the refs are very poor this year

It's sad for Portugal, because they played very well, and the ref lost control of the game, 16 cards!!!Figo is gonna be suspended, and C.Ronaldo is injured, so that's 4 people out against England(Deco, Costinha,*FIGO*, C.Ronaldo).

As an Italian seeing the ref give the PK to Totti, was amazing, but after seeing the replay it was clear that it should not have been a penalty shot. That being said, Italy dominated the first half, the Australian goalie got a few lucky(nice)saves, and some good bounces. The Toni shot that Schwarzer saved with his foot was a bit of luck. The ref also made a bad call when the Italian player(Materazzi) got a red, it was definately worth a yellow, but not red, also they were a man down for 45 MINS. It was up to Australia to score, but they couldn't finish it off.

The next game is against Ukraine, on paper it looks easy, but then again so did the Australia game.

Don´t think Figo will be suspended, and Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to play (so I heard at radio, while working).
England lost against Portugal in Mexico 94 and in Euro.
So, is just one more time. (as a portuguese i´m hoping that happens)

Figo, no offense but he did something pretty bad, he head-butted a guy. It's nowhere as bad as De Rossi's(of Italy) elbow to McBride, but i think he will be suspended for 1 match. And that's good news about Ronaldo.
