Cant believe Zidane, what a stupid thing to do in your last game (or any game) never mind in the final of the world cup. Well done Italy.
Well I have to say well done to Italy for the game it was great. Well as you know i was going for France but afte what I saw Zidane do it was a shame for France and football in general. Again congrats to Italy and I still remember the final in 94 againt Brazil, so Italy does deserve the Cup.
Yeah... that headbutt was ridiculous... Good game though. Italy played like they had already lost for about half the match though. France was attacking constantly. Italy held on though and prevailed in the PK. What a match!! Just incredible!
Yer maybe some matches. Especially the english ones. However you cant deny that was one of the most gripping finals ive ever seen.
Peter if you come back again before your suspension is up you will never be allowed back. Will anyone miss him? I'm happy for Italy, it was a well earned win. France on the other hand should be ashamed of how their star and captain conducted himself. I've seen plenty of cheap shots during this cup but that one takes the cake.

Oh well that's the end of another mediocre world cup tournament. Does anything actually stick out as so memorable that will take away the dirty taste of all the cynical foul play and down right cheating that has gone on in this competition. Will this world cup only be remembered for Zidane's moment of lunacy? What do people think? What were the best bits that are worth remembering?
i am upset! italy won. i wanted france to win because i wanted zidanes retirement to be a good one. well things happen!
Well on Zidane's retirement night, he possibly did the worst and most disgraceful thing possible. It was very stupid, and he let his team down, very unsportsmanlike for, normally a very classy player. Was it just me, or did the penalty shot in the 7th minute, look like a dive(to get the call...)The italian player didnt even touch him, he went down like he'd just gotten sniped. I think the final was amazing, and very exciting, and parties have been going on since 5:30 yesterday. It's Awesome. Neph, why did Peter get suspended, it doesn't bother me cause he annoyed me, but i'm just wondering.
it will be very interetsing to see what materazi said to zidane.It must have been bad for zidane to act in that way.
