Actually they played Bulgaria in the Kirin Cup and got beat 2-1 and drew against Scotland who beat Bulgaria 5-1. Also it's not Figo's last game its his last World Cup before retiring from international football.

Waiting to see if the so-called "overrated" Yankees step up and play the way they can or if they still have the mentality that they cant win. I have not watched football all my life, just since our U.S. women started dominating about 5-10 years ago. Every small child in this country plays soccer "football" now where 20 years ago it was baseball or Yankee rules football. Our talent is there, the tradition isnt.

    Ooooops!!!

You're right, tomorrow is due Australia-Japan

Going for the Aussies, though Japan may turn into a hard cookie.

    We'll see...

i called that one wrong, regardless i think it was an overall good game. robben was on fire last night, he going to cause a lot of defenders a lot of harm this tourney.

as for todays(tonight for some) games, can't wait to see australia finally play, doubt they will win, and also looking forward to the czechs aswell. they were one of the best teams in euro2004 and if they can show that kind of form in the world cup they'll do well.

    1. goals win games - brazil
    2. who has more prolific goal scorers? - brazil
    3. which team is the deapest? - brazil
    4. who will shut brazils offence down? - brazil (lol)
    5. so far all that i have from the european teams is sub par ball
    (a) germany struggled against a lone costrican striker? lol
    (b) england got lucky by an own goal from paraguy. lol
    (c) my two european teams played a lackluster game - holland and serbia.
    (d) portugal struggled agains an average angolan team...wow

the competition is too early to make any serious prediction...but so far no team has played superb ball...lets keep watchin.
