ok here goes i bought a new 200gb hdd it was only registering as 31.49gb so i downloaded the maxblast 3 bootable iso run that at boot screen then i got it up to 189gb which is about right now i copied all my stuff from my 80gb hdd to my new 200gb hdd and formatted my 80gb with me so far
then i reinstalled windows xp with intgrated sp2 now my 200gb hdd is back at 31.49gb and is showing as unformatted anyone know how i can get it up to 189gb without formatting as i have over 60gb of files i need off it

Did you set the compatibility jumper on the drive to force it down to 32GB? If not, Windows XP will detect the full capacity of the drive and attempt to format it accordingly, however, this will conflict with what your BIOS sees and you will have similar problems which will likely lead to data loss.
