I agree Shrink is a great free program and the quality enhancements are really a plus. They are much easier to use in Shrink then in Recode, because of having to go into the regedit and change them. I also like CloneDVD for its versatility and easy to user friendly interface, and combined with AnyDVD it is money well spent. I was one of the users who had difficulties with Intervideo, when it worked it worked well quality was good, but I also made too many coaster because it would burn blanks. As for RB/CCE it is great the best, but I sometimes am too impatient to wait for the product so I only use it occasionally.
Its apparent that I dont "Have the Intelligence of a 2 year old chimpanzee" because I tried using clonedvd2 managed to get to stage 2(baby chimpanzee level) and when I went to burn I got following message( Preceeded by an oh no!) Creation of DVD file was not successful-directory not found. E:/VIDEO_TS log said Processing stopped Directory not found E:/VIDEO_TS I would love to advance to "2 year old" stage, I read help section but I believe I followed all it said.
@arniebear, I agree about Rebuilder, I have found that I use the batch processing a lot. Set a batch of 4 jobs and by morning they are complete, I will burn them later. I'm impatient as well. I don't understand the Copy 3 situation. I had two WB that when I selected Movie Only it put the movie on with the Director's commentary, but beyond that not an issue, I actually use customize more than movie only. But for great back-ups, hassle free...clonedvd 2/anydvd combo is awe-some. MovieDud
Hey MovieDud can you help with my queerie so far what I have seen of cloneDVD2 I like. Where do the files go when you copy original DVD, I copy but cannot burn.
@gwendolin Here is the program guide for CloneDVD 2.. It will take u through all the steps u need to take... http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/full_dvd_to_dvdr_with_clonedvd.cfm Keep us posted...
Thanks, the help is much appreciated. I got it working...wow what an easy proggy...no wonder the others said a chimpanzee could use it!
@gwendolin, On the final page of the film stripe there will be a section where the temporary files will be stored, you can change that but the computer must have someplace allocated for the files. There is the burn speed selector, the drive you will use to burn and a box that can tick so that the computer will delete files after burning. When I want to make two copies I will unclick this box so that I can make another copy. Hope this helps. This program has it's own burning software, unless you send it to the HD and then you can burn with any burning program...I would just stick with the built in burning engine...saves you time. MovieDud
@MovieDud You do not have to uncheck the delete temp file to make more than one copy. After your first burn is done and the little screen comes up and says it is completed, just close that down and insert another disk and hit burn again.
@arniebear, thanks friend, totally forgot. I really like CloneDvd2 and the re-authoring capabilities and how user friendly it is. Intervideo needs to address the issues with Copy 3, and add speed adjustment and I believe more and more people would find it as one of the best in reference to quality and speed. Have a good day my friend. MovieDud
