I have a Sony DRU 530A DVD Burner and i use hp DVD+R to make back up of movies and they say a times 4x on the disk and when i burn them at a 8x i get jitters sometimes but when i burn them at a 4x no problem no jitters or anything but they now have an 8x speed DVD+r out so if i burn them at a 8x will i get the errors or should i still burn them at a x4 even though they are a 8x?? thanks in advance

Hello nsa187, That is the risk on burning at 8x.If you want to burn at the 8x speed, then you might want to try some high quality media. This may help you on that issue. The possibility of write errors is why I try to keep the burn speed down at 4x.I have some 8x + branded vertatims that are doing a super job at 4x, 8x, and 12x speed as I was playing around with them. Also play flawlessly in my stand alones which can be touchy. You may wanna give them a shot. Later
