I installed a 500 g hd this week and my system only recognizes 127 g. it comes up as 500 in the bios but windows seems to have a limitation. I am running w2000 and was told SP3 would fix it.

Well I bit the bullet and reformatted installing all 4 service packs. Still won't work. Any ideas?

after all the different tech support ideas didn't pan out a guy at micro center knew what the problem was.

there is a glitch in w2000 you have to manually change the registry. He printed the exact instructions. Getting it wrong means reformatting
