on the top of the motherboard printed ususally in the center. also need the rev level which might be printed there or on 1 of the 2 back corners.
yes, youll have to open your computer. but im thinking, if u had a onboard video, would it really only take away jus 8mb of memory from you? idk, that must be the minimum, cuz before i got my video card, it took away 64mb. but idk
i dont think i want to open my computer but this all happend when i restared my computer. after i check the memory, it was only 248 but before i restarted i have 256
can be the pageup or pagedown buttons or can be highlight the #, press enter & will give you a menu of different values including na(not available). also check that the onboard video is disabled also in the bios that than disables the 8meg which is returned to main memory amount
umm, it uses 8mb because it needs some ram to be able to operate. only way to change this is getting a new video card and then disabling onboard video.
are you trying to change it to use mroe or less ram? and if less, i dont think it can go any lower, because 8mb is already extremly low for video memory
i've see it less like down to 1meg on a p3-1ghz. is the computer a namebrand like hp or a clone computer from a store?? if namebrand, what is the make & model# of it??
