Your arrogant post contributed more to your ego than to this thread so if you're not going to add anything useful then move along.

I have noticed too that DVDShrink is taking longer and longer to encode a movie. I first noticed this when I still had McAfee. I've since removed that and installed Norton instead. No change. I defragmented my drives thinking it might possibly be that. Still no change.
There hasn't been any problem burning with Nero, as I'm burning as fast as possible with an external USB2 burner.
What gets me is that DVDShrink works incredibly fast on my other machine which has a slower processor and less RAM. Go figure.

Well. I got home from work this morning, got on to check my emails, and the movie I was backing up with shrink "Total processing time 8 hours and 31 minutes" WTH? Never had I had any problems what so ever w/ shrink. I always turn off all programs using msconfig. I recently switched to using compress using highest quailty under the quality settings. I wonder what is going on. I will try again this morning. Kinda interesting this was the first post on here. I will let you know how it goes. ---zen-->

Just an update on the Norton saga, a trip to their web site revealed how difficult it is to completely remove the remnants of this prog. I had to download progs (only a couple of minutes) and run these for removal as far back as 2002. Just like the kids, "doesn't want to leave home" cheers. Anyone interesred site is
