I have the toshiba SD-430V stand alond DVD player for my home system. And all the specs say that it plays DVD-R and not DVD+R. Last night i inserted a DVD+R disk into my player by accident and realized that it played the dvd although it didn't say it accepted the format in the manual...Can someone please explain this to me. cuz i dunno why it plays DVD+R when it never said it was compatable. Thanx

I had the same thing with my Pioneer. Manual said no...but +R works just fine.

Enjoy your good fortune...don't question it. :)
