Hi there, I just got a MXQ pro box.
I can watch movies and TV shows on it no problem.
However when I try watch any live stuff it doesn't work. It came "fully loaded"
I added mobdro myself but it doesn't work.
Is it possible everything needs an update?

if you add apps or addons you need to make sure they are current and up to date , especially if they are live tv related .

also with some live tv apps /addons you have to understand that this is free iptv , meaning people source channels (channel links ) that they dont own and add them to the addons . what happens then is the channel owner changes the channel link and the channel stops working in the addon , that is untill the addon guy gets the new channel link .

now if you install say filmon addon in kodi that gives you quite a lot of tv channels that dont go off , they work all the time . if you install addons from the correct repos they should auto update providing that the addon maker sends updates .

you may have some addons that are not installed via the correct repo , in that case they may or may not be getting updates . this is a problem with fully loaded boxes , the addons are not installed what i call the proper way , meaning installing each correct repo and then installing individual addons from them . when boxes are fully loaded they are usually loaded with what they call addon wizards .

so i cant say for certain but you likley have addons that either have no updates available or which arent getting available updates . and some addons dont have repos , in which case such addons have to be updated manually each time . which means to uninstall the current addon and install the new one using a usb stick .

personally i dont like fully loaded boxes , for the reasons above but also because people wont really learn from them .i appreciate that some people are not as technically minded as others and so buying fully loaded makes life easier . but down the line if the addons etc are not updating properly if at all people are going to have to put that right , and that means people will likely end up having to learn what they tried to avoid learning in the first place .

    Thanks Piopat.
Looking at your post on how to fix/update addons/repositories, you mention clicking on "Get addons" and "force refresh".
I guess the software has moved on since you did up the post, I don't have those options on the MXQ pro.

Do you know what the equivalent would be?

the options i speak of are in kodi , even the newest versions , all be it the newer versions of kodi look slightly different . they you wont get that option for android apps , as android apps are different to kodi addons . you didnt mention what kodi version you had so i went with the slightly older versions , as i was thinking if your addons are older so to might be your version of kodi .

kodi is an android app , but you install addons inside it .

you will only find repos inside kodi . now to refresh a repo you open kodi , then select SYSTEM , then select SYSTEM which is just below system , next select ADDONS , then select GET ADDONS , now a list of all repos installed in your box will appear . go to and highlight the repo you want to update (dont open it ) , then press menu button or what ever button you usually press to bring up the context menu . a few options will appear , such as
    CHECK FOR UPDATES
    FORCE REFRESH
    ADDON INFORMATION

you select FORCE REFRESH , it will appear as tho nothing has happened , now open the repo and it may be empty or again nothing may happen , so exit the repo and the open it again , then in the bottom right corner you should see WORKING . now a repo will only update if new updates are available .

now on slightly newer versions of kodi such as isengard 15.0 and above they changed the wording in the menus a bit . and the layout in kodi has changed a bit . so for slightly newer versions of kodi here are the instructions to refresh a repo (there is not much difference )

to refresh a repo you open kodi , then select SYSTEM , you can simply pres ok on SYSTEM or go down below it and select ADDONS , for here you wont see GET ADDONS , what you will see is INSTALL FROM REPOSITORY (its the same as get addons , they just changed the wording) , now a list of all repos installed in your box will appear . go to and highlight the repo you want to update (dont open it ) , then press menu button or what ever button you usually press to bring up the context menu . a few options will appear , such as
    CHECK FOR UPDATES
    FORCE REFRESH
    ADDON INFORMATION

you select FORCE REFRESH , it will appear as tho nothing has happened , now open the repo and it may be empty or again nothing may happen , so exit the repo and the open it again , then in the bottom right corner you should see WORKING .

however if you have addons installed that werent installed from any of the repos that are installed in your box well then the addon wont update . also repos can be changed / updated etc , you could have old out dated repos that no longer work . if so you will need the new working repos .

yes thats what happens when an ip channel link has changed . every iptv channel is hosted on some site somewhere on the net , and every site and every iptv channel has a unique address called a link (or url ) , not unlike a all phones having unique numbers . usually the guys making these addons scan sites with special software and they find the links for these channels , its called sniffing . if they find links they add them to their addon . but by the same token when the site the link comes from spots that someone is using their channel they change the channel link . so in effect the channel is assigned a new link by its owners , that renders the old link in the addon useless . so then the addon guy has to go and see if he can sniff the new link . thats how free iptv works , so as soon as a channel owner sees that his channel is being used he changes the link , the channel stops working and when you try to open a non working channel you get the error message that you got . now of course the addon guy may be fixing these channels but you may not be getting his updates if your repo is not working or out dated , or its also possible (as your box was fully loaded ) that you have old addons that havent been fixed in a long time and likely never will be . thats what box sellers do , they fill these boxes with any addon they can get , foreign addons , useless addons ,broken addons etc etc , i guess they think that quantity is better than quality .

you dont need the logs for that .

Not to be a pain but where would one get the new working repos?

well different addons come from different repos . if you could say for example tell us what your favourite addons are we could probably advise you regarding the repos for them .

what you could do is install fusion repo . repos usually contain addons that you can install , but fusion is different , its different because it contains many of the top repos . so what you could do is install fusion repo . even if you have fusion installed it may be out dated in that the repo link may be different to the current link .

so here is the fusion repo link
    http://fusion.tvaddons.ag

now if you need help installing the link just ask . but when its installed you will then be able to install a multitude of top repos and from them you can install a multitude of top addons . and these addons because they will be installed from the correct repos will receive any available updates , which is important . that said some addons have no repo , and the addon maker just releases updated versions of the addon which you install manually . that means removing the current addon and then installing the latest version .

but as your box came pre loaded i think you should go through the addons and repos and remove any not working or that you dont really want or need . with kodi memory space is important so its always good to keep your kodi house in order , in the sense of conserving memory space as much as is possible . that way you will free up memory space , have only the addons you really want and they should all receive their needed updates .

So, I got "live mix", pretty good. Also got Mobdro working.
I see fusion there all right, added a couple of repos and they work. Thanks.

My question now is do you know which repo might have the UFC content? Like where would I watch live UFC stuff?

I would definitely be interested in deleting addons and or repos that don't work, since I am now happy with the ones that do.

What's the best way of going about it? Not sure I understand it all yet.
If I see an addon that doesn't work, is it easy to see what repo it came from...should I be deleting that repo and if so would that delete a whole bunch of addons or just that addon. Or should I or can I just delete that addon?
When I go into system/file manager how do I delete what I see there...like the ones I made at the beginning that I made a mess of. What's the consequence of deleting something there.

I wonder would it be easier to write down the addons I want to keep, the repos they can from and the web address the repo came from.....then is it possible to delete a whole bunch of crap at once and then add back what I want???

Hope some of that makes sense, like I said I am not sure I understand it fully yet.

I recently bought a pre-loaded MX III 4K Android box which is running Isengard 15.2. Everything was fine apart from a lot of buffering when watching certain feeds. Due to the buffering I decided to upgrade my internet connection from the standard TalkTalk connection to BT Infinity. The vast majority of the stuff I was watching all stopped working: IceFilms, SportsDevil etc.
I googled the issue and discovered turning off the Parental Control and disabling the Smart Setup feature should resolve the issues. I have done this but it is still not working.
I have discovered however that UK Turks Playlist still works. Is there anything different with this feed that could explain why everything else has stopped working? Has enybody else had this issue and managed to resolve it?
I did see somewhere that a Kodi re-install did fix a similar problem with BT but I am skeptical about doing this in my case as it does work for one feed. Kodi does work on my phone however.
Any assistance you could give would be most appreciated as I have run out of ideas now.

Melody I did have ccloud installed for a while but it's not for me , does have a of worldwide tv channels including sport , I know kodi does not support it , you can install and give it a try , and delete it if you don't like it , it comes in the fusion repo , which you already have , if you want to give it go checkout the link below ...

Essex if you read back to thru the pages here you see were some of the guys had issues with sportsdevil, icefilms , mainly down to providers blocking , but luckily there are better addons that work just as good , also boxes that come preloaded are full of apps and kodi addons that don't work and can slow your box it's best to barebone down , check back the pages for ways to solve your problem , you can also download kodi 16.0 jarvis which is very stable , but first skin down and it will make a big difference ..........
Ps do not download krypton version still at beta stage
    Cheers ........

addons such as live mix have sports channels like bt sports and setanta to name just two , they both show ufc . phoenix and uk turks addons also show a lot of sport . uk turks is in the metalkettle repo which is in fusion repo . phoenix is in the xunity repo , there might be a link for that repo posted a bit back on this thread but if not i can post the link .

bt block a lot of movies etc such as icefilms and 1channel . however turning off smart setup may solve some of your problems . read the following link for instructions .

    http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/...etup-on-and-off-on-the-bt-home-hub-4-or-hub-5

also how is your box receiving the internet signal ? wifi or wired ? . wired is always best . if you internet speeds are for example 100mb well if wired your box will receive most of that speed . however if your box operates on wifi it likely will only get about 20 or so mb .
