    jack, let us know the fline you put in for your external share. obviously dont supply actual username and password. i am more interested in the stuff hat is in parenthesis after the username and password. also can you confirm that the cline you put in the client external share looks exactly like this 'c: iphostname 12000 user pass no'. The no at the end of the line is very important.

    piopat, that is the weirdest thing i have ever heard. as you say it should and must be impossible. i would ask you to also check the cline you gave the external client and ensure that no is at the end of this line.

    hi fintann well other than the first hour when i set up his box in february(and it was freezing like hell)it has worked 100% perfect .my ips are consecutive so i set him the next free ip in my network and disabled dhcp on his box and it sorted the problem .i didnt put a no at the end of the c line i gave my mate ,to be honest i had forgetten to do it untill you just mentioned it.

    pio, reason i say this is that your card can be flooded with emms which can really screw up viewing if you do not put no in the cline. can you retry your setup with this config and let me know. i simply cant get my head around what you say. it just simply should not work that way

    the no goes at the end of the cline. the fline should look like
    F: user pass 2 0 0 { 0:0:1 }
    this example allows no reshare of channels by the client box
    F: david golf 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }
    this example allows the client to share the channels it receives down to a further box. you should always define reshare levels. otherwise you have no idea how many people are resharing your channels. if you only put user and pass in the fline then the this means that all clients can reshare and further reshare and further reshare. hence your system would go nuts from trying to process too many ecms from clients you dont even know you have

    does it matter if the box is connected to the dish as my router is on the fourth floor and dish connection on the first.
