it keeps saying in dreamup box is in serial http mode
and on dreambox it keeps saying the ip address and *** serial mode ***

i got it flashed successfully but now having trouble locating the sky dish set up, date time a lot of things actually

 

What do you mean by locating the sky dish set up ?

Are you talking about where you scan for channels ?

 

yeah but it seems to be ok now, i finally figured it out, used a guide from youtube

what version of dreamup are you using ? try 1.3.3.4 or above ,you may have to try a few versions . leanne i assume you unzipped or unrared the image before flashing (i assumed that you had as you were in the middle of flashing the box) ,the extension at the end of the image should be .nfi (example )
nabilosat balckhole dm800.nfi ,if it had no .nfi at the end it was compressed which means it would have an extension .rar or .zip to open files like that you need a progarm like winrar or peazip.

 

image is fine now flashed sucessfully
i have done the service scan picked up channels over 1000 but i cant seem to get any on screen, the epg just says N/A

is this because no ccam downloaded yet?

 

Have you configured your tuner to what satellite that you want?? You need to ftp your c line into var/ect i use a program called flash fxp

 

yes i have configured it to single satelite astra/eurobird
it is picking up the channels but it doesnt show them
does anyone know what is happening?

hi guys,
i'm using maxvar image, i origionaly set up for single satellite, now i want to recieve fta channals from BADR4 26*. i have ftp the .xml transponder list but i can't get to scan the satellite. when i go into satellite config the system crashes and i have to hard reboot. any ideas?

 

Are the FREE Channels working OK? BBC, UTV, CHANNEL 4 etc ??

 

Can you see the free channels like bbc itv??

 

on the dm800 it is showing please set up tuner A
it has port A with astra2/eurobird1 28.e
port B hotbird 13.0e

im using a standard sky dish
can someone tell me if this set up is correct
or should it be something else if so what

Change port b to astra 28

 

there is no astra 28 only astra 19.2e and that doesnt work

any other suggestions

 

leeanne, when you highlight sat/position and press ok you should get a drop down menu where you can select the sat. you want. if you can't it sounds like your problem is similar to mine...post #809.

 

hi guys im having a little problem with my dm500 when i switch on the box the green light comes on but the box doesnt start up i have tried reflashing the box but still no luck i have tried 4 different images now and still no luck the box flashes ok via dreamup

 

I had that problem long time ago my problem was i was not unzipping the folder to get the image..But i say thats not what your doing

 

no the box was working yesterday and the images are fine as have tried them on another box think its time for the bin

 

dan did you flash erase before reflashing ,if you didnt you could try flash erase a few times and then flash as normal .

 

thanks for the replies guys, pat the first couple of times i just flashed without erasing but then clicked yes on perform flash erase a few time also i just performed flash erase on its own then reflashed the box and still nothing just dont understand why its not booting
