A NEWBIES GUIDE TO SETTING UP A DM500S FOR CARDSHARING

my apolalgies fint, my experience (short as it is) is that this didn't work. i must have been doing it wrong. but if his card is not connected via smargo will it still work?

 

is there a satellite feed to the computer?

 

jondalar, understand, what exactly does a feed sat supply. answer is pictures. the card supplies the decryption. you do not (or would not want) a sat feed to your computer. whats the point of owning a 50 inch high def tv if you are going to connect it to a laptop.

card will work in dm500 (without sat connection) without issue.

 

Can any of you help me please? I am pulling my hair out trying to set up my DM800hd I have flashed the latest gemini2 image to the box done a scan got all my FTA channels
the problem is I cannot seem to be able to sort out the cccam part of the set up. I have surfed for ages and all help guides I have read say go to addons (2) and install the cams but there is nothing there how do I get the latest 2.1.4 and how do I install it and set it up through ftp I am guessing but which folders etc??

is there a newbies guide for the DM800?

gemini no longer supports cam download. you need to search for cam on the net. then install it in /tmp and do a manual install

 

Just tried it that does not work either .... thanks anyway... can see file in ftp but not on the blue panel..

its just not happening cannot set up the cams it frustrating...

 

takes about ten seconds to sort this. so you put the file in /tmp. so exactly waht file did you put there. was i an ipk, was it






what file did u put in tmp. please supply full name

 

I dont think I have the right files then the file is called cccam_2.1.3 file type says it is a 3file? not sure where to get the correct files on the web - sorry I am a newby to satellite have just moved over from many year of cable...

Mate if your 800 is sim 201 bl 76 you can flash it with the new dream elite 1.0 hd image it has all the cams in it and the ccam config folder

Well its been days now I am at a total loss tried various images didn't work went back to gemini all ok exept cannot set up the cccam

all that comes up is common interface and cannot load the cccam files


am well fed up

 

Hi guys I got a new DM 800 hd clone today and my tv screen went green about 1 min after I switched it on I was just about to flash it so I carried on, I held down the power botton unplugged the power, pluged it again and noting it would not even boot, noting is showing on the oled screen in front the only sign of life is the yellow and green leds around the Ethernet port.

I usually flash from browser but that's no going to work now question is can I flash the box with null cableand dream up, if anyone has experienced this before any advice thanks

 

Did you not try the dream elite image..The cams are in download extra??

 

You can also flash a dm 800 with dream up and a network cable connected i find easier than a web browser..just open up dream up with null cable and then connect your network cable in dream up tick use network put in ip address of computer and in remote box put ip of dream box hit connect it will ask to turn on dream box and it will load flash loader and you will get box in network rather than serial mode the hit flash pick your image and it will take two mins or so..Or a null cable on its own takes nearly and hour so i would do this way if you are unsure

Yes mate flashed the box but it would not boot said error only for DM7025 so gonna try the image Leanne suggested....

Ok well you flash it the wrong image..Any way that image that leanne suggested is similar

 

its not the wrong image for dm800hd its perfect
