joebhoy, filezilla is the same as flashxp. you connect to the box by using dm500 ip address, port is 21, username is root, password is dreambox. thats it.

balcee, what problem are you having. you are not supplying any useful info

so do i just use this number, as the examples in ccam cofig are much longer, or do i just add a load of zeros after these three digits?

jondalar, i use active lines only in cccam.cfg. why do users insist on removing lines from cccam.cfg rather than deleting the complete content and then adding proper active lines, as in you understand what the darn file does in the first place

    fint,
i don't delete any lines in ccam.cfg as i use them as a ref. to what the programme can do. i have little or no formal training in computors except for a very small bit in collage, which i left 17 years ago and i have never really used them in the workplace. anything i do know (very little, i know) was self thought. the first time i ever saw linux code was two days before i posted my first comment on this thread, which is not that long ago. so to be honest, i don't understand what the darn file does, but i am trying to.

why would 963 be a part of cccam.cfg. the boxkey is got from the 9 digit number that is printed on the sly card you have. 963 is not relevant within the cfg ile

i'm not referring to the boxkey, i'm asking about uphops and downhops, i'm confused as to how to write the F and C lines that will not allow the client to share his cline further on.
if i am sharing only one card, what would my c and f line look like so that the cline only works for 1 hop? do i even need the caid in this case?

cline not relevant. fline would be F: username password 2 0 0 { 0:0:1 } if you are not allowing reshare and F: username password 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 }if you are allowing reshare one level down etc..

ok, so caid:id is not relavent if only one card is being shared, does 0:0 take the place of the caid:id?
2 0 0 this means he recieves at max two hops away, does not recieve emu and does not send emm (whatever that is). is that correct?

i've reread e.g's, 0:0 takes place of any and all cards, yeah?

you specify the caid in the fline if you wish to block channels being sent to users. example F: username password 2 0 0 { 0:0:2 } { 0963:000000:C5BC } means i allow reshare of my card 1 level down but i block espn to this user and all his clients.

this is for dm800 not dm500. quickest way to reflash dm500 is to rename image as root.cramfs then put this file in /tmp. Then you do a manual update via the menu system. The system will see the root.crams file in /tmp. Click on it and the update takes very little time and no rs232 cable required

    guys,
can anyone tell me why i get 'sorry connection to server refused' when i try to get cccam from addons. it is happening with both my server box and client. the client box crashed and i had to reflash it. the network settings are as they were, and port 12000 is open on router.
in network setup Nameserver is 89.101.160.4 i think this is how its always been, is nameserver the same as dns or is it ip of nablio site for downloads?
everything has been running fine up until today for the last six weeks or so, the server box has not had any changes made to it.
DCC is still able to see both boxes and ftp is working, im at a loss. any help would be great.

many images have withdrawn support for downloading cams. connection refused means that nabilo site is currently down. try again in a few days

of course. however doublecheck couple things. try and download a skin. if you get connection refused that confirms that the nabilo site is down or your connection to the nabilo server is requesting from the wrong ip. also ensure when loading an addon that it has filetype nab.gz, otherwise that addon is not built for your system. if you find the correct addon just put it in /tmp and then install using remote control
