A NEWBIES GUIDE TO SETTING UP A DM500S FOR CARDSHARING

Hello all having a prob with a clone dm800(blackhole image)had been working fine until yesterday when it would not clear paid chans using sly card for internal sharing, 2 boxes in total the other works fine,in dcc i cannot get the router to recognise it i can see the ip address of this box when i unplug the power whilst holding the on/off button then powering box up again the green light on ethernet connection flashes,when i do ip address search i can see all ips except this one,just wondering if anyoneelse has come accross this i suppose the joys of a clone,by the way i changed cables and rouer port no joy.

routers can behave strange. fact is if you hold the button on the dm800 in and power off and on then see an ip address then all is good. do you see free to air channels on the dm800

does it basic channels such as dave etc.. have you checked the entitlements for your card using cccaminfo. have they expired

 

yea jack it may be worth putting the card back in th sly box ,i had an issue with espn (stuck the card back in sly box and returned it to dreambox and worked fine )its worth a try . by the way how are you mate hope your well .

Hello guys put the card back in the sly box at 8am this morning until 6pm this evening but still cannot connect dreambox still can see ip address in led screen but the router just doesent want to know.

anyone know of a supplier of the dreambox 500s in or around dublin.i had a guy who supplied me with these but he seems to have gone missing.i know you can get them from the uk,but it is much simpler if i was to know someone on this side of the water.you can pm me if you wish.

I read all 40 pages, I can't find any information about backup on HD800 sim 2.01, BL76, blackhole 0.12 image. I have HD800 all setup good. What's the best way to backup everythig, I can't use dream up, it only can use for DB 500, I try to install barryallen, it show up on DCC, but I can't find in the addon on my HD800, so I can't do the backup on my HD800. Any help? Please

Hey piopat, thanks a million, used this tutorial loads of times.
Having an issue now though. When I press yellow twice and try to dowload cccam, connection to server refused (as someone else has said) Tried to install it manually, pressed install and it semmed to restart the box, but it is in the uninstall panel (which tells me it is infact installed) However, when I press blue, the box seems to restart and goes to the default channel? (CCT4)...

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I currently have a sub. S*Y box, if I get a DM500s would I be able to put the DM500s in another room and C-share. Would I be able to use my own S*Y card and watch all programs on both boxes at the same time.

 

no, when sharing you must use boxes that can communicate with each other. you cannot use the sky box in the link. you would need two dreamboxes, one as server and one as client

jackchen8, what do you need to backup. in reality its your bouquets and your cccam file. both can be saved to your pc and reloaded as required.

jack, you always see an ip address no matter what. ok if the ip address is 192.68.0.0 then there is a prob but you always see an ip

All good, I just find out i can use DCC to backup, but if I can install barryallen in DH800, I can use USB to boot different image, I don't known why can't do it. Maybe blackhole 0.12 not support.....

 

jackchen, out of interest why would you be bothered using barry-allen. you have blackhole 0.12 in flash. you do not need to use barry allen. in fact having played with the system for years i have found no use for this plugin. give me a good reason for using and i will give you further direction

 

you can install cccam or other cams from nabilosat images (the addons server was down but its up again )you can either try again (press the yellow button twice) or reflash and get the same image from a different source .i know that sounds strange (to reflash ) but i have two dm500s boxes with the same image ,yet i can install cccam on one and not the other its a weird one .
