A NEWBIES GUIDE TO SETTING UP A DM500S FOR CARDSHARING

hi guys one of my boxes has gone down im trying to reflash it but it wont connect to dreamup anything else i could try?

On dreamup when ready to connect i power up the box and i get nothing.

Try diff version of Dream-up. Version 1.3.2.1 usually OK with clone DM500 boxes
Would be very helpful if authors of Dream-up software compiled a list of diff versions & indicated which versions were most suitable for which boxes

 

i can someone please tell me if its worth it using starview7. mine has stopped working for ages and recently i heard i can call and subscribe to get it working again.. please i need help on this one. please...we are big family and the house is boring without it. tnx

Hi I need help, My DM800HD has been working fine for months but recently I had to change the ccconfig file and now it does not work. It has been ages since I last did this and don't know if I am doing something wrong. Basically does it matter where the file is located?
it is currently located in VAR/etc

Try looking for the Dreambox-CCcamconfig-Editor that will put your line in the correct area for you, might be in the downloads under my signature, if not google it.

hi guys need a little bit of advice i have flashed my dreambox500s with lots of diffrent images and i have tried useing diffrent dream ups and all i keep getting is flashed succsesful i disconect and set up to the sky dish and when i turn box on i get nothing on screen and i cant turn the box on and off and the remote does work

 

Try Dream-Up 1.3.2.1 & say NO to flash erase when asked

 

lankey with a dm500 you should flash erase before flashing the box with a second image as that box has little memory capacity .does the box have a static green light on it ? a static green light would indicate that its retrievable ,red and green lights would not be good .

 

yea i did do a erase flash before each image and it has got a static green light and when i connect the box to pc it says box alive and talking to us how do i retrieve it and has some one got a working image for db500s i can try with Dream-Up 1.3.2.1 i would be more than greatfull for the advice

 

Hi all, I have just got a dreambox 500s and i have a cline with irish channels aswell, i have a query in relation to the epg. Currently i can only get the current and next programme, are there any epg's with possibly a days epg, it would be handy, I have a nabillo sat image v 0.8, looking forward to hearing any answers!

you will probably have to change your image from nabilo to pli or gemini in order to get a better epg .

 

As far as I know there is a plugin for this. Google Sky 7-Day EPG Dreambox Plugin.

Should sort you out. As far as I know the reason for this problem is that the 7-Day EPG only works with original Sky boxes and Freesat certified boxes.
