Just to throw my 2cents worth in, there is also an openbox s10 basically the same box only smaller but it has no scart etc, only HDMI connection but it costs around 25% less, Have a look at both the s9/s10 and compare for yourself

 

ok i have no idea about these i have a dm500 was working through server a friend of a friend but he has stopped think he left country will it be possible to pay new server and get channels with this box

 

we can help you with your box mate but the more info we have the better .are we talking about a dm500s (s for satellite) what image is on your box (the image is the tv software ,power off the box and back on and look at the tv screen ,what does it say ? ) were you reciveing a share direct from your friend (meaning had he his own card which he shared with you )or did he hook your box up to a payserver ? .have you read my tutorial (its in the last link of my signature area ) specificly the dream control center bit .if you follow the instructions and can connect to your box using dcc its not password locked and so yes you can get another server . however if the box is password locked and you cant contact your friend to tell you the password the only sollution is to reflash which is to change the image (the tv software ) that will set the password back to its default setting.

any idea how i can reboot my dreambox hd pvr800.I flashed the wrong image onto it.
Stuck in a wharp at this time "error:no ca found" i tried to flash it again,goes not respond is there a file i can run to delete image or remove it,

when you get no ca found its because the bootloader does not match the image. there is only one way to correct. use null modem cable with dreamup and flash correct bootloader and image

 

you have flashed your box with an image which bootloader is different to your boxes bootloader ,example if your box is sim 2.01 BL 76 (bootloader 76 ) you would need an image that is suitable for use on a sim 2.01 BL 76 box .

to find out what sim and bootloader you have power of the box and power it back on again and then look at the little lcd display ,it should tell you the sim and bootloader version of your box and then you need to find a suitable image .

you then need to download the patched version of dreamup (dreamup by fornhike ) you can download it from link number one of my signature area and then follow these instructions .
Please use patched version Dreamup (download from link number 1)

1. connect the box to your pc using NULL Modem cable and Ethernet cable from box to router ..

2. load patched version of dreamup, select your com port and then click connect and power on dm800

3. when initialised it will display http serial mode on lcd and show dhcp ip once ip is displayed dreamup has served its purpose and now its in flashmode


4. log into webshell on your pc using the 192.168.x.xxx ip address you see on the LCD disply and flash as normal via web browser .

the instructions in the link above say dm500hd but its the same for a dm800 hd.

Hi guys i'm back up and running, with b-band that is.
now the problem still exists, the screen was telling me to log onto "wwwdm7000.com the error 01 ca not found" I re-ran the file again 1_3_3_6 upload completed waiting on acknowledgement,that as far as it goes unable to flash to remove the old image

I opened the box just in case it might do something, it now reads "error"

I hope you are able shine a light on this, again many thanks for your help.

 

I have installed the image on dm600 from your signature, it didnt had the cccam.cfg file in it by default so I downloaded and saved in the etc directory through ftp, when I am running a transponder scan it is not showing up the paid channels at all in the list, generally upon scann it shows more than 1000 services scanned but now it is only showing 459 services scanned, any ideas or suggestion?

ok scap that question. i flashed with gemini 2 project 5.1 and now i have a : no ca found,do i now have to set up a serial(null modem)cable ?if so what version of dreamup do i use for bootloader 82

Use dream up 1.3.3.2 then try dream elite1.33d v3 thats about the best image out there

 

Up until yesterday my Dreambox DM518-S was working perfectly. Last night and today I find that I have all the channel lists and a lot of the individual programme listings but all I get is a black screen and no audio. Freeview channels are still there I notice. Any ideas please as I dont understand the system. Do I have to run a new setup on this. I originally got this unit from Topboxes.biz but they have suddenly disappeared from the net so I was thinking it was something to do with some kind of internet feed signal from them which has now stopped (incidentally, with that company they said that I had to renew a paid subscription annually. Also that I didnt need any kind of card, just so long as I had a properly positioned Sky dish).

 

if your 12 months is up your channels are gone (i mean the pay ones ) you can pay them for another 12 months(if you have their contact details) but from what you say they are gone (likely for ever )so chances are you need to reflash the box and get a new server.

 

that means you flashed your box with an image thats unsuitable ,your box has a sim versio and bootloader version (clone dm800 are isually sim 2.01 BL76 (bootloader76) so in that case the image you use must be compatable with your box sim and bootloader versions . power off the box and power it back on and look at the little lcd screen and it will tell you the sim version and bootlader version (probably sim 2.01 bl76) so you need an image that has the same sim and bootloader .
