Sorry my mistake, i have it on my 500, not the 800 it has Black Hole
I agree with that i have 500 using darkstar, no problems, in Pio's sig.

On another note, does anyone know how to clear a sat meter 6906, whilst scanning, it comes on screen memory full, how do i clear the memory I have the manual, but it does not say how to clear, thanks in advance.

ive always thought the nabilo images are great images and they have served me well. there is a newer version of the nabilo darkstar image its called nabilo maxvar v8 ,its newer and more up to date .i recommend that if you want to use a nabilo image for your dm500s that you use the newer nabilo maxvar v8,you can download it from the first link of my signature area .

hi hubba mate i dont think its available for the dm800 (atleast that im aware of )but it is available for the dm500s and the dm7020 .you can use nabilo blackhole v0.12 for a dm800 ,obviously when flashing a dm800 you need to make sure the image has the same sim and bootloader as your box .

hi guys, i'm trying to up grade my server from dm500 to vu+duo, i've copied the cccam.cfg file from 500 to vu+ using ftp and rebooted, most channels open up on vu+ with card in bottom slot, sports and movies don't open, although correct boxkey is in cccam.
also vu+ doesn't share to clients, i have server listen port 1#### set in cccam, but i cant find anywhere to set port with remote as i did with dm500 in comms panel, is this relevent?
    dm500 is running maxvar8, cccam2.1.3
    vu+duo blackhole 1.0, cccam2.1.3
anyone any ideas what i've not done right?

you dont have to set the port in communication setup .have you set the vu+duo a static ip address ? is it the same static ip as your dm500s ? obviously if your dm500s server ip was for example 192.168.0.100 the static ip in the vu+ must be the same .the only thing is that if you want to use the dm500s as a client in your house you will need to change the ip as you cant have two boxes with the same ip ,all you have to do is enable dhcp in communication setup .

i some times find that when instaling a box that the router doesnt always automaticly see the box ,so what i do is power off the box and the router ,and then power on the box (let it boot up )and then power on the router (your box must have dhcp enabled so the router can set it an ip address etc )once the router is seeing the box you can then set the server box a static ip address .

if you have the correct boxkey and it worked fine in the dm500s then it should work in the vu+ duo ,so its difficult to understand why its not working unless the vu+ doesnt like the cccam.cfg file .you could try using the original cccam.cfg file that you get when installing cccam in the vu+ ,try uninstalling cccam and then reinstalling it ,then you should once again have the original cccam.cfg file .then try adding the boxkey to the original cccam.cfg file ,now restart cccam (check now and see if the box is opening all the channels )if it is add your client f lines to the original cccam.cfg file now restart cccam and check with your clients to see if they are recieving channels .

ok pio, both boxes have static ip but are different, so hopefully that will sort out the share problem. i was hopeing to put cccam 2.2.1 on vu+ but wanted to work with what i was familliar with first, so now ill just go straight to 221. can i simply copy and paste my cccam 2.1.3 setup into cccam 2.2.1 including Flines. either way ill have to wait till football is over before i can try.
    thanks for your help again!

sorry for delay in reply pio, i can't do much at moment because i have quite a number of friends and family using the share. however, i've installed cccam 2.2.1 on vu+, the active cam in blue panel is 2.1.3, but when i open ccam.cfg in dcc it opens cccam2.2.1,and i've had to rewright cline in 221 to clear pictures(for vu+, which is still a client of dm500), i'm lost. i hope you understand what i'm trying to say!!

hi so you still have the dm500s as the server ok, and the vu+ is working as a client but not as the server .if you have installed cccam in the vu+ via the addons and the vu+ is working as a client then its connecting to the net and working as it should be ,so in that sense there is no reason it shouldnt work as a server .

i just had a thought are you trying to use an sd sky subscription card in an hd box ? ,the reason i ask is your server is a an sd dm500s and the vu is a hd box .if you are then naturally the channels wont work ,you would need a sky hd subsciption card. if im not understanding correctly i appolagise .

the card is sd and is paired to origial sd s##box, the boxkey relates to origial (non hd)s##box, i would of thought this is irrelivent as i'm not trying to clear hd chanals, it was sports/movies (sd) that did not clear using the original boxkey.
going back to the server thing,, if i ftp my dm500 .cfg file to the vu+ should all be well?? why am i seeing cccam221 in dcc, when cccam213 is active in blue panel?

hi mate im just trying to be clear on what it is your attempting or doing . yes you can ftp your dm500s cccam.cfg file to your vu+ and it should work .when you say your seeing cccam 2.2.1 in dcc are you talkinga about the bin file ? as really in var/etc all you should see is cccam.cfg and nothing more.

Hi all, I finally received my DM500s and using piopat's guide on the first page have managed to set it up so that when I put my sly card into it all the channels I am paying for show up. I want to get another box so that I can share with my brother but I would like to get one with the same features as my existing non HD sly+ box. I have seen a DM800HD with 320GB HDD installed and am wondering is this suitable for replacing my non HD sly+ box?

pio, sorry for delay in reply, had to do that work thing! anyway,i got the vu+ up and running, of course, ip address was the share problem, regarding sports and movies it seems the bottom card slot does not clear them for some reason, when i used the top slot it works fine, don't understand that, but either way it's working now, so thanks again.

in cccam.cfg you have a line like this example
    BOXKEY: / dev /sci0 11 22 33 44 (the 11223344 bit is an example boxkey )
add a second boxkey line to your cccam.cfg file like this
    BOXKEY: / dev /sci0 11 22 33 44
BOXKEY: / dev /sci1 55 66 77 88 (put the same boxkey your boxkey in both lines )
restart the cam and the card should open all channels in both card slots .
