a somewhat nooby question, probably

    hi, im thinking of getting an ipod video and b4 i do, i have on simple question. can you use windows media player to transfer music from your music library(on windows media) onto your ipod? i would like to know this since i have renamed all the stuff i've dled and i would like it to look like what i've renamed it on the ipod. so, can you?

    I reckon you should make sure all your tunes are tagged correctly with a proggy like tag&rename, because then you can change it between iPods, meadia players..whatever. I have tried WMP before, and it didn't work..

    Tag your songs properly, and you won't have any problems. Plus, you can't sync videos, photos, smart playlists etc with WMP, so I can't see much good in using it to sync your music..

    yeah u can use iTunes to move ur songs from Windows Media Player to iTunes

    You don't 'move' anything, just import the music from the origional files..
