The games are generally limited to the ones that come with the iPod. There is a version of Linux for the iPod that you can apparently play games with but is risky, and I don't recommend it. [bold]Edit[/bold] Might want to check the 'Rockbox' thread.
I have installed Ipod linux, on my 30GB 5g Ipod, and aside from re-transfering all your songs after you install linux, its pretty strait foward. I also installed iboy, and a mame emulator, but the only game I installed was pacman

They're just notes games. I suggest you have a look at my rockbox tutorial, for upon installation, you can play full colour arcade games such as Tetris, Snake, Snake II, and many more. (iPodLinux tutorial coming soon, which is arguably better than rockbox..)
that's a great guide lethal and good ggames. one question:how can ba able to use rockboix but still use my ipod to play music...
you can switch firmwares. press and hold menu and center until it resets. that will get you rockbox. for my nano when i reset it i hold play/pause and that loads the original firmware
