I have a 1X DVD burner in my computer. It came with it. As you know it is slow as hell. I am about to buy this 16X burner for $75 but it is a bare drive with no software. Should I do it? If I do it where do I get the software to run with it? If it isn't a good deal where can I go to get a good deal on a new burner?
    Thanks/Chief

Hi BigChief1, If you're running Windows Xp, it will install the proper driver for your burner. Then use any software you are using with the old burner for the new burner. Nero Ultra 6 is one of the best all around packages out there right now. DVDShrink and Decrypter will do your movie backup work. Thats about all you really need.
