I am using media player 10 and I can't get a digital ac3 out of my computer. It worked great with media player 9, but since I upgraded to wmp10 it doesn't work anymore. All i get is the left and right channels. So, I uninstalled wmp10 and put wmp9 back on and I still have the same problem. I downloaded graphedit and it says it is sending the sound through the ac3filter and to the default directsound device. I am using ac3 filter 1.05.
I have found the problem. It is with nerovision express. After I uninstalled nerovision it magically worked. Does anyone know why nerovision would interfere with ac3filter. When I had nerovision installed the graphedit of one of the ac3 movie files showed the following: movie.avi -> avi splitter -> ac3filter -> default directsound device. Nerovision is not anywhere in the flow, so why would it mess with the output.
