ok sorry for posting in the wrong section but i couldnt find out where..

    ok this is my problem..

the other day i installed some homebrew windows XP autologin software and it screwd up my user from showing up..so what i did was coped all the files off my desktop onto the C:\ drive and then made a new user and deleted the old 1 which wouldnt show up... after this i tried to copy all the files back and it comes up with the error 'unable to access the folder :access is denied!!!!!!!!!!
so i followed something off the microsoft site that let me access the folder .. so i coped that to my desktop.. now when i try to access the files and folders under that folder i get the same error.. i try to do what the microsoft site says and when i get half way there it comes up with a different error that says.. you do not have the privilages to set the priviages of this folder/file!!!
so now im stumped... i decided to do a complete reformat of my computer.. so i put my HDD in my other computer and try to copy the files over to that for a back up.. ERROR acess denied WTF!!.. so could some 1 please tell me how to get access to these folders please because i have about 100gb of stuff that i really need!
