addicted to myspace

When i have kids, I'm not buying them a PC till college.

 

Lol, good luck. They'll still end up using them. As much as there are bad things on the internet, and things you can addicted to, just not buying them a PC or the internet is somewhat ignorant really. With it being such a valuable resource and all. And plus, by the time you have kids and they're college age, anyone without a decent knowledge of PC basics is going to have a hard time getting a decent job IMHO.

 

Computers are the future...however sad it may sound to you, in this day and age everyone needs to be able to work a computer. Taking drastic measures like that, rihght, will just sabotage their future.

 

I reduce to 3hours a day!!!!!!!! I'm on the computer less and less everyday. My goal is, By the end of year never use it unless it's for homework or research. I know 3hours is still a lot, But i feel pretty proud.

 

Im on the computer at least 3 hours a day. But its not just myspace. Its aD (you guys!! ), msn (ladiessss), or just pc games. I know that sounds alot, but think about it, an hour and a half at night maybe? Then half an hour somewhere through the day when i pop in, then an hour when i wake up or something, like now.

 

I'm slowly working on my problem. If i can at least use 1minute less each day.

 

How do you ever find that much time??? I have been working a 48 on 16 off shift for the last week! I feel dead!

 

rihgt, dude, GET A LIFE!! please. Seriously, how can u spend that much time on myspace. Yeh sometimes i can stay on it for a while commenting girls and waiting for them to comment back and things, but thats only in the background while im watching videos, posting on aD or just chattin on msn or something. Not for as long as you do!

Comment one of these girls, tell her you wanna meet her in real life, meet up with her, stay with her instead of going on myspace. Sure theres lots you could find to do!

 

I have a MySpace account, but only for keeping up with three neices and a nephew. Most times, when I try to use MySpace, it's screwed up and I can't do anything there for days! I have gotten to the point that I despise the place! It's so worthless it's pathetic!

Hi5 and FaceBook put MySpace to shame, as far as working, when you need it to.

rihgt682 your case is very similar to one of my cousins. he use to be a myspace addict(8 hours on it!!), now he actually has a life, he still uses myspace but only for 20 minutes or so. you should try to get a job and meet some people while you work. then maybe every weekend take your friends to go paint balling, movies, trip, theme park, etc. also you should maybe get an instrument and learn how to play.

 

I work 8-5. rest is free time. I'm trying to quit but looking at soo many hot girls never gets boring.

Sure, it wouldn't be so bad if you actually knew them in real life, but c'mon.

I mean, I have lots of good looking friends (girls) on MySpace (emphasis on friends - I know them in real life and frequently meet them etc etc) but there's no way I'd sit there and stare at pictures of them for hours on end. Hell, I wouldn't even do it if I didn't know them..

This thread is getting out of hand. If you can't live without MySpace for a full month then you really do have an addiction to it. I know some people that have literally been on it for 12 hours some days. It's ridiculous. Call these people, hang out with them, don't just message them on the computer all day! They don't get to know you and you don't get to know them that way. And if you don't buy them a PC until college, they will eventually get a job around 16/17 and buy their own! That's what I did a few years back.
