Adding Hard Drive to ILO DVDR04

    Is it true that the firmware used in the DVDR04 is identical to that used in the DVDRH04? I've heard that a hard drive can be added to the DVDR04, essentially making it a DVDRH04. Has anyone popped open one of these units to verify if this is true?

    It can't be done. The HD04 has a different chipset in it to control the second IDE drive (HDD). The 2 firmwares are completely different also.
