Ive just tried to update a HP 8000 elite
    The memory is 2gb 2rx8 PC3 10600S-09-10-f2
    M471B5673EH1-CH9 1014(samsung)

I added some kingston memory same spec as the 2gb 2Rx8 PC3 1060S-09-10-f0

This actually worked for 4 reboots but when i turned it on after the 5th i got a hdd red light flashing and a beeping noise(error).
Took the slot and all worked well again.

    I then tried to put in 2GB 2Rx8 PC3 10600S-09-10-F2(samsung)
but number M471B5673FH0-CH9 1030,into the spare slot.

This created another error with the top memory,

Where am i going wrong here ,i thought it was just about type and amount and channel number.?????

Ive done loads of memory in the past and not had problems.Even a shop recommended the kingston one to me which did work for a spell but after approx 4th reboot went into error.

    Am i missing something here.?????

    Help appreciated thanks.

Yeah thanks, just weird that it worked for a while and was rebooted a few times before going into error.I can tell you after i installed the extra slot I got a message saying "you have upgraded your memory),there was 2 choices yes and no ,obviously i picked yes.I thought this would have been all i needed to do.I will look further into bios.
