    Hi all,
Having just got into this digi video lark (Having only just got to grips with setting the VCR timer!!) I have a XviD movie and a subtitle file and I've not a clue how to merge the two together??

Would somebody be so kind as to tell me how or what software I'd need to use etc.

    Many many thanks in advance...

There are a lot of tutorials on the internet about this subject. It all depends on what kind of subtitle file you have (srt, sub, ......).

If you understand dutch, you can have a look at http://www.extradvd.nl/. Otherwise doom9 might be a good start, http://www.doom9.org/

The also have lists of which software you need with a certain subtitle format.

    Hi Senilicus,

Unfortunately I can't speak Dutch. I'm from the UK so we're all pretty ignorant as far as second languages go!!

About to check out the Doom9 site, here's hoping it's not too techie for a n00bie like myself!

If anyone else can point me in the direction of a real simple tutorial I'll love 'ya for ever!!

    :)
