no it did'nt work all the wires were in nice and tight, but thanks for the advice anyway

 

ill tie that yellow ribbon into a nice bow around this box and im sending it back to who i got it off by express post "bunjie style"
so thanks for all your help and at least i have 1 good box that works
oh! look 1 good thng did come out of all this, my stats just went up from being a newbie to junior member whooooooopee.lol
