Im currently in the market for a reciever. I was looking at the Pioneer Elite VSX-54TX, and im just wondering about the pros and cons of the reciever. (i would just ask the guy that works at the place i was at but i probably wouldnt get many cons out of him.) I live in Canada so prices here are more expensive than U.S. (just keep that in mind.) For the VSX-54YX i talked the guy down to $1000.00 (befor tax) and i just want to know if i should go for it or not. I don't own a Pioneer receiver. I do own the Pioneer 563a universal dvd player. I like it a lot. I go to several HT Forums, a lot, and the folks there like the Pioneer receivers. Especially the Elite series. Check out the HT forums and get a lot of different people's opinions. You can tell by my nick (user name) what brand of receiver I have.......... ) Good luck.

ok, so u guys think that its worth getting, i was mainly looking for a second oppinion. the con that was linked is all over the internet, for the reciver reviews.... so its probably B/S.
hmm, one of my cousins has one of the high end elite models, its OK, but dosent stack up agianst my denon..theres a few misses in the pionner series, check out the denon site and there products.
denon is a little pricy for me. im getting the Pioneer on a deal so i think im gonna stick with it. tnx for the responce.
