Deadrum33, your bands pretty good its just not my kind of music. I'm more into this kinda stuff http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9KZY23dyMg&feature=related there from Chicago, Jeff the lead guitar player has an amazing talent, plays a 1958 Gibson Les Paul
thanks zoso, thats a good classic rock/blues band you linked. When we played Chicago last month, we blew the power for an entire block of the Logan square district 3 songs into the headlining acts set!!! Back on topic...maybe this thread should be closed since the afterdawn video is gone and has not been re-linked.
@Deadrum33 Not a bad song - I'm liking it. Which member are you? Maybe we'll leave the thread open for awhile to challenge someone to do an aD video
Karen i think his user name gives it away lol his the Drummer you guys play mostly local? Dayton area etc? Deadrnm33
If you're putting videos of bands up, have any of you ever heard of the Horslips? They're an Irish band, from 1970's. Some of their stuff is brilliant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5G8AJf4Xzw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HHQ7kMXl7M
Thanks binkie! Zoso is correct, have played drums for all styles of music (from swing/big band at high class dinner parties to the 1/2 electric, 1/2 live hybrid I do now)for 20+ years. I live in the middle of a cornfield and nearesrt big town is Toledo, Ohio USA where we do most our shows but we just finished a tour in June that took us to NYC, Toronto, Chicago, Pittsburgh, etc. Evastar those are good links too, at first I thought "ohh typical 70's" but the classic Irish vocals overtop that sound create something better than either individually for a great mix!
@Deadrum, the Horslips were brilliant in their day. Some of their best tracks haven't been uploaded to youtube yet though. Unfortunately, because they're from northern ireland, some people associate them with what we call 'the troubles', and if you click some links about them you'll get a lot of republican propaganda, but just to let you know that i was only linking for the music, not trying to promote anything else.
Its all good as I wasnt trying to be negative about anything, not being political either, just loving the way 2 different styles combine to make something better.
