Age old question, DVD-R vs DVD+R 4 movies

    The Model Above is the dvd burner i am planing to purchase in the next week, but i need to find out wut dvdrs to buy for movies, any help would b apricated

    Hi AlanTiger, There isn't much difference in quality between +R or -R blank media. The difference shows up when you try to play a burned movie on other stand alone players. -R media seems to be more compatible with older stand alone players and causes less problems. Newer players are usually(not always) dual format and will play both. My opinion is to start with a good brand of -R media. Also it is a good idea to start your first dvd burns using a RW blank. This way if it doesn't work you can re-use it and keep from making coaster (discs that don't work).
