I had the same problem and it drove me nuts. I did everything i could think of. Then i finally decided to send my burner back and exchange it for a new one of the same model. I just burned the first movie on that, and it played all the way through fine. I think my laser was screwed up or something. If all else fails, send it back, that's what i did. Now it works fine.
@sosafan19 - that's always a possible solution for some people, though a lot of the people who come here with problems, we find it's due to incorrect/outdated setings, and/or bad media. all of which is worth trying to resolve before binning the drive..
Great show guys...thank you for your help! I tried using the Imation media burned at 2x and it didn't work - even with the output reduced to 4300. I went out and purchased some Fuji DVD-R and did the DVDInfo on them. The MF name was TY - which was a recommended media brand. Burned a movie at 4x with no problems. I appreciate everyone's input. Next - I'm on to trying to crack "Hitch" - I know the thread already exists, I'm not asking anything right now. Does anyone know the best way to maintain a DVD in it's entirety - Special features and all - with Shrink and Decrypter? I only know how to do this with DVD X Copy which isn't working too well with newer movies...
I'm afraid of sounding totally ignorant here - but why hide the truth...? ...running the background? Perhaps once I download the program I'll understand...?
hi dvd decrypter is good but not that good so the app anydvd is updated regular to combat new type copy prtections! so is dvd43 these aid ripping this encrytion out of the original could be used with other apps i spose? so it runs in background while the main app ripps it
Hello TriZzz, The DVD media you have already burned, scan them with VSO Inspector v1.1 (Sector Scan and File Scan). If you end up with 100% Error Free, you should be ok. I'll bet you, the ones that freeze will NOT be 100% error free !
Thanks all. I'll try these programs when I get home for work tonight. I'll post my results in hopes to help other newbs after myself.
